Internship Project Proposal
UX Investigation for Enhanced Task Completion in Web Applications for Technologically Inexperienced Users.
The project aims to investigate and improve the user experience (UX) of web applications to facilitate better task completion for users with limited contact with technology.
As digital services become increasingly integral to daily life, it is essential to ensure that web applications are accessible and user-friendly for all users, including those with limited technological proficiency. Bitwise Lab, specializing in UX design and user research, seeks to develop a robust solution that enhances task completion rates and overall user satisfaction for this demographic.
User Research and Persona Development: Conduct comprehensive user research to understand the needs, challenges, and behaviors of technologically inexperienced users. Develop detailed user personas to guide the design process.
Usability Testing: Perform usability testing on existing web applications to identify pain points and areas for improvement.
Design and Prototyping: Create low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes of web interfaces that address identified usability issues and enhance task completion.
Iterative Testing and Refinement: Conduct iterative testing with real users to refine the prototypes and ensure they meet the needs of the target demographic.
Implementation Guidelines: Develop a set of guidelines and best practices for designing web applications that are accessible and user-friendly for technologically inexperienced users.
Literature Review and User Research: Begin with a comprehensive review of current UX design principles and conduct user research through surveys, interviews, and observational studies.
Usability Testing: Use tools like eye-tracking and heatmaps to analyze user interactions with web applications. Identify common obstacles and areas for improvement.
Design and Prototyping: Utilize design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD to create prototypes. Focus on simplicity, clarity, and intuitive navigation.
Iterative Testing: Conduct multiple rounds of testing with users, gathering feedback and making necessary adjustments to the prototypes.
Implementation Guidelines: Compile findings into a comprehensive set of guidelines for designing user-friendly web applications.
